CHASING RAINBOWS

Chasing Rainbows

A4

Graphite pencil on traditional rabbit skin gesso, on board.

2010 I was invited to participate in Constellations – a large number of small drawings, RMIT Gallery Melbourne Victoria. The image selected used graphite pencils and an eraser to depict a wind blown plastic rain bonnet. It inspired a series of drawings and sculptural pieces based on personal items belonging to family members.

Drawings on board, large and small, along with boxed sculptural works, form a collection entitled THE KEEPER, MEMORIES OF A RURAL LIFE, curated by Sally Butler and Kerry Gillett.
