Eulo Lizard Lounge

A voluntary community project, in which many locals lent a hand to create a new picnic area, digging with machinery and shovels to position the shade sail support poles, fence panels and seating legs. All helped mixing cement, carting, drilling and constructing the various components on hand. Ergon Energy provided a crane to position the shade sails.

The Lizard Lounge celebrates years of catching, racing (and releasing) indigenous lizards around Eulo, as part of an outback entertainment tradition that has now been consigned to history.

Eulo Development Association was established as a self help body to improve public facilities in and around this south western Queensland town. They have raised funds for many projects and continue to do so.
