- Client:Bulloo Shire Council
- Date:2009
- Info:The Future tile has a mirror film applied to the tile base to reflect light back through clear layers of Perspex. Clean, clear, crisp materials indicate modernity. Some lines & shapes are engraved on Perspex, while others are applied in white paint. Layers have been attached to the tile base using posts & screws of various heights to facilitate different levels . Bees etched on screw heads. A children crossing sign symbolizes the importance of families to the shire's future & indicates extensive road networks. Lines & shapes suggest landforms, in addition to signs depicting some of the natural resources of the shire. Mechanical oil pumping donkeys raise their heads, like curious grazing animals, in the landscape. Tree shapes are void, turning the negative spaces into positives, stressing the resilience & inventiveness of Bulloo Shire residents to overcome setbacks. Text includes Bulloo - Natural Resources.
